Help!!!-someone applied my current job

My school posted an ad of my current job for my Green Card. The job description was not very specifically defined. Several people applied it. Then my school couldn't support my GC application because it said "two US citizens are qualified for min requirement". My boss explained to school that I am the most qualified person. But school still said no. What should I do now?
