Shall I take this J-1 offer?

I am a H-4 now, the school that may hire me prefers to give me J-1 because it is easier than H-1. I came here right after I graduated. So I don't have previous employer in China.
Do I have to waiver if I want to change my Visa type later? Is there any trouble with J-1 in the future?
