Do I need to pay fingerprint Fee when renew AP with 485 pending

Jul. 2007 485 filer. AP will be expired in Nov. this year. As I read the instruction of Form I-131, it seems no fingerprint is needed to renew AP while 485 is pending. Anybody has experience on that. Also, what should be the class of admission if I used AP to enter US before. Thanks.
