You situation is the same as me.I strongly suggest that
(1)Wait as long as you can until you I-140 is approved.
(2)Even if you are laid off after two months and your I-140 is still pending at that time,you can negotiate with you HR and tell them not to revoke your I-140.

This is better way you can do
