Urgent Help-Mother's 1-94 problem

Need urgent help!! My mother just arrived in US yesterday thru Chicago airport. The INS/US Custom did not ask any question and gave her a I-94 for 4 months only till Jan 9, 2009. But her return flight is on Jan 20, 2009. What should I do next? Thanks for any good experience and suggestion!!!
