H1B被当天 LAY OFF, 急死我了!!!该怎么办阿?

今天收到HR同知,第一条就是: You last day of employment and your last day in the office providing services to the employer shall be August 27,2008.

2. If you sign the attached general release, the employer will provide you with a lump sum severance payment of $XXX. This payment will be made ten (10) days after the date on which you execute the General Release.

是不是今天起我就没有了身份?

还是要我签了 "general release"的10天以后才没有身份?

据说H1B被裁以后有10天时间可以在美国在找工作,这个"10天"是从今天开始算吗?

我LG是H1B,如果想转成H4需要多少天以内提出申请?

如果在H4期间有另外找到工作,转回H1B还需要重新抽签吗?

不好意思一下子问了这么多的问题, 我们现在实在是焦头烂额, 各位XDJM给支招阿,先 谢过了.
