I think, what you should do:
1. If doesn't like your current job, change job to west or east coast, with a good job, enjoy with ur family, don't think about GC;

2. Grow your career or your specility, explore opportunity in China, if your case gets denied, leave...It is so obvious, China is growing....vs. US market....
