Will I be easy rejected in

I was rejected in Cj, Mexico recently, because I haven't been home for over 4 years. I am F1, got a master and now is doing Ph.D in another univ. I applied for OPT between the two degrees. I took my I-94 off and thus the VO didn't take it. I walked through the border easily after the rejection because they didn't ask for my passport and anything.

I want to go home in winter or next summer to re-apply the visa in China. Do you think the way I entering US will be a big issue? I really miss home, and I don't want to be permentantly rejected in China. Please advise. Bow//
