pastport will expire soon, can I still file I-140? Thanks!

My perm just got approved and am preparing i-140. However I found my pastport will expire next June. I am wondering if I can still file 140 or not. Is there a time limit of sending out I-140 after perm get approved?

Hope some warmhearted people can help me on that.
