PJiang LAOSHI help--is my stay legal?

My current H1B visa will expire on AUG29,2008.
another Univ. has filed a new H1B premium for me yesterday. However, it is expected that the new H1B premium will be approved on about September 5.
My problem is -- is my stay legal after AUG29?
