Renew advanced parole

我的AP今年9 月份到期。现在我9月底要回国做一周课题，为了节省时间，想续AP。请问申请程序和第一次申请是一样的吗？我现在是H1签证。如果我回美国时用AP，影响我的H1身份吗？
