请教，关于美国F1亲属移民转绿卡的问题

我2007年来美国，目前是F1。家里在1999年申请了亲属移民（我祖母申请我母亲全家），最近广州领馆发信要求面谈。请问我这种情况是否必须要回国面谈？是否可以在美国完成F1转绿卡？
