Question on EB-1A Application

I understand that once I apply for EB-1A and submit I485 together with I140, I can get a work permit.

I now work under an H-1B visa (cap-exempt). If I use the work permit to find a second job while keeping the original H-1B job, and my EB-1A application is rejected by USCIS, is my original H-1B visa still valid? That is, can I still keep working for my original employer?
