as long as she is in H1 status, or H1 transfe/EOS pending, your H4 is still good and you can become H1 on Oct 1..
If she changes to F1, you might need to change to F2 (or your H4 becomes invalid once she COS to F1) which will affect your yet-to-start H1 I-94.
