To Pjiang and other experts, Priority date transferred bwteen tw

NIW based I-140 was approved and will file another I-140 based on EB1. My lawyer says that priority date will be transfered between these two I-140. I worry the consequence if new I-140 is denied. I mean the denial will affect the approved old I-140?
