Technically, you can switch companies if your I-1485 application is pending for more that 180 days and your I-140 hasn't been approved.
The reason is that CIS would never ask you to provide paystubs for evey single day. They would not ask for your proof of employment on the 140 approval date.

So in your case, just take it easy. I believe 99% of chance you will get your GC thru your current employer if you can find a similar job in the same city.

If you change the city and address, it's a red flag for CIS to issue RFE, and they will also question your employer when they review your 140.


Usually RFE asks for EVL, "Employment Verification Letter".
