485 Pending, lost job, can I apply for benefit

485 Pending more than 180 days, 140 approved, company will layoff in the next several month (outsourcing). During the period of finding job, can I apply for government employment benefit? Is there any different between dependent and main application? Will it affect my 485 if apply for benefit? thanks for your help
