he may take a copy but have no previllege to hold on your original approval notice, it's very important doc for you.
Ask your attorney to return the original approval notice to you immediately without any delay, otherwise, he has to be responisible for any consequence incurred.

Sometimes, those attorneys just play fires and deserve a backfire!
