I got 140/485 denial notices at the same time. 485 denied = EAD invalid then you can not legally work; 485 denied is also = OOS, because you used EAD. fyi, appeal takes about 2 years, but you may face OOS for a long time already if appeal is denied. you may consider to get H-4 visa in Canada now to reduce the risks.
