I had similar situation when I applied H1b 5 years ago. the employer only wrote down

"As a privately held corporation, ***, INC. doe not release its financial . Please be advised that this firm has been in continuous operations since month of year, has over ** employees who are paid bi-weekly, and maintains an extremely strong financial position. A review with *** will confirm this".

but after lawyer talked to the VP, they agreed put a gross annual number, it got approval..
