想离婚了

我老公是公民，我去年以配偶的身份申请了绿卡，现在仍在temporary期内，觉得婚姻继续不下去了，想离婚。如果离婚了，有什么方法可以保住绿卡有效并在失效前申请永久绿卡吗？
