请问xiaobaidu, pjiang, 在美国之外的时间计算在H1六年之内吗？

情况是这样的：
1。2007年5月拿到 H1 approval notice, 本来可以2007.10 在北京签证，赴美。但由于种种原因，直到2008.4才成行。请问 2007。10 - 2008。4 这段时间会从六年中扣掉吗？
2。 类似的，我的L1 visa 本来可以居留到 2007.11, 但是在2007.3 就回国了。那么 2007.3 - 2007.11 年的这段时间会从六年中扣掉吗？
我印象中好像六年只计算在美国实际居住的时间，是这样吗？希望得到权威的说法！
