Is there any way to extend a visa? Thanks!

I got a visa today for a conference taking place in the end of June, but the visa I got today will expire in June 03. It is just valid for two months. Anyone have any idea to solve this problem? Or do I need to apply another one?
If I apply another one, do I need to go to Tihuana of Mexico again?
