回复：关于AP的有效期

If last August when he left he was in H1, then his I-485 is still good (not abandoned) So this AP is also good, especially for this trip, with approved AP in hand before he will leave US.
If when he left last August his status was, say F1, then even he returned and I-485 seems continue, he shouldn't travel again until he gets GC because if a picky officer noticing this abandonment can give him trouble
