拿到绿卡半年后才能换工作吗?

我刚拿到绿卡不久,友人说,拿到绿卡半年后才能换工作. 这样比较保险.是不是原公司在此其间可以收回绿卡? 有没有样的说法?
另外, 我的妻子还没有拿到绿卡,如果我在拿到绿卡的180天内换工作,原公司有没有权利做出对我妻子的绿卡不利的事情?
