Questions about I140 appeal

I am in H1B and am the primary applicant of Green Card. My I140 is pending but my situation indicates that my I140 might be denied.

I have the following questions:
1) How long does it take to process I140 appeal? (I need time to start new PERM and new I140)
2) I am in 7th year of H1B visa. Can I extending my 8th year H1B during I140 appeal?
3) Can my wife renew or use EAD during I140 appeal?
