Can I apply for a Schengen visa for a business trip in EU?

I plan to visit UK and Hungary for a business trip. I have a question about Schengen visa. I am not sure if both UK and Hungary are the Schengen agreement countries, if yes, does it mean I only need to get a Schengen visa from either UK or Hungary? Thanks.
