If I did not apply for H-1B, I will use EAD very soon. However, my wife is a registered undergraduate student of an university. Currently, she holds a J-2 visa and did not work. My question is

Can she change her visa to F-1 if bad situation appears? In this case, can I also change to F-2 if she does?
