485 status 移民局的回复

我是 EB-1b, PD 2006-9。 两个月前给移民局打电话查询485状态，name check 有否结束等，接电话的人什么也不告诉我，说45天后给我答复。

昨天收到移民局的信，写道：" we are actively processing this case, however, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. if you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 month of this letter, please call..."

是不是这样的套话回复没有什么意义，也根本不能说明name check结束与否？问题是我们这里没有移民局的办公室，要预约apponiment in local office还要到另一个城市去，除了等待以外还有其他办法吗？ 谢谢各位指导。
