EAD is valid after reentry to US using AP?

My situation: 07/02/2007 filled I-485. I received EAD, AP, and I-485 on September, 2007.
I suddenly found out the notes on the buttom of my EAD card today: "NOT VALID FOR REENTRY TO U.S." . However, I already use the AP to go to China and return back to U.S. last month (2007-12). Should I re-apply another EAD card now if the current EAD card is really invalid? What is the possible early starting date of the new EAD card if filling the new EAD application form? I need to use the EAD card to change employer because of completion of 180 days I-485 pending. Thanks for suggestion. 小白兔 etc...
