Don't give up your job

You can have a short landing, then go back to US and work. It is said that you can stay in US while apply citizenship after three years. But I am not quite clear about it. You can also document that you are working for a Canadian company in US. If necessary, you can consult a lawyer. Remember: Job is everything in Canada.
