请问，隐瞒国内的高学历对background check有影响吗？

国内有博士学位，在美国拿了个硕士，现在用硕士找的工作，也是用硕士申请的NIW，请问，这种情况在background check时会被发现吗，算cheating吗，是有什么不好的影响吗？谢谢。
