I was at a party the past Thanksgiving, while I met several parents. I meant parents of our generation, and they became PR recently.

Here is one example as below, for your reference.

> When did his parents enter US?
March 07

> When did you file petitions?
May 07

> When his father got approved?
Sep : father got the approval. however, INS made a
mistake and spelled his first name wrong! so we had
wait for the correction which can take a long time.
Mom got approval in Nov.
