It takes around 3 months for CIS to process regular H-1B petition. However, since you are in OPT now, if your future employer chooses regular processing, then CIS will adjudicate the case after 10/1/2004. You may want to go by premium processing by paying additional $1000 to CIS. CIS will make a decision within 15 days.
