My perm has been filed for 4 months in Alt, nothing heard now

My perm application has been filed for 4 months in Alt. nothing heard yet. Does any friend has same situation or experience? I have asked my attorney sent an inquiry, but he told me there is no response. So, what can I do now? The silent really me nervous. I appericate any word you input.
