f-1 好还是h-1好一些？

我想请教一下。现在我是h-4,已被大学录取，正考虑是否转f-1.我老公准备近一，两个月递1－40，
1。不知对我们申请绿卡我是持h-4,还是f-1好？
2。如果申请f-1, 我要否回国签证？
3。如果我保持h－4，万一我老公h-1没有了，我是否随时可以申请f-1,需要多长时间？
