EAD & I-94

We got EAD recently, but no AP yet.

My wife has TN expiring next month. She will switch to EAD before TN expires. The question is that how we deal with her I-94 card (for TN). She cannot (or shoudn't) go out of US (in order to submit I-94) since she doesn't have AP but I think we shouldn't keep the I-94 after it expires either.

Suggestions please.
