OPT to apply H-4 in China

I am current having F-1 visa under OPT (no job yet). My hu*****and is H1-b. I would like to go back to China to visit my relatives and friends. After my trip to China, I am planning to apply for H-4 in GuangZhou to come back to the U.S.

Have anyone done this before? Are there a lot of risk doing this? I know it would be difficult for me to apply for F-1 back to the U.S. because my hu*****and is H1.
