Does 2nd FP substitute 1st FP (expired) automatically?

I had 1st FP as Primary applicant in 2005 which is expired now. I had 2nd FP as a dependant on March 2007 which is still valid.

Question is: I have my name check cleared but have not received FP notice. Can I safely assume my 2nd FP will automatically substitute 1st and no such notice is expected before 485 get approved?
