I485 case is with the officer ...

My NC has been pending for over 2 years. I wrote to FL twice and called senator and congressman many times. In Jan. and Aug. 2007, FBI replied my letter to FL with the same information. The congressman's office received FBI's reply on Oct. 1 -- still pending. I was considering filing an WOM. Today, I tried one more time to call TSC and got the chance to talk to an IO after holding for 40 minutes (this is the first time I got ahold of an IO). He told me that my case is with an officer. I was surprised and asked him whether my background check is clear. He said CIS received the check results from FBI in Oct. 2007 and it would take 4-6 weeks to process the case. I don't know if what he said is true. The congreman's office said NC is just part of the background check-- NC clear does not necessarily mean background check is complete. There is not online update of my case... so I still don't know exactly what happened.
