I am H-1B visa holder, which will expire by Nov., 2008. It will be renewed for another three years. I sent my 140, 485 and 131 to NSC on July and August and have received all receipting notice and FP notice. But I still have not got my I-131 yet. I am planning to go to China around Christmas, but not quite sure if I can get my I-131 by then. If not, do I need to go to the consulate to get a new H-1 visa? or I only need to show my last H-1B visa approval letter and I-485 and I-131 original receipt to the immigration officer to return to USA.
