Which category are you in? If it were in labor category, you'd better get the copy of labor certificate. Try to use the same lawyer as you can pay him by yourself. It's no big deal. Lawyer works for the money. Your boss couldn't revoke your approved I-140. Did you I-140 approved? If yes, no problem.
