今天收到HR的电话关于fringe benefit

前一段时间公司帮助renew H-1B, 花了几千刀, 今天收到HR的电话, 说那几千刀算是我的income(所谓的fringe benefit), 我需要向IRS缴税.

从来没听说过的, 有谁有类似的经历吗? 有没有书面的东西我可以show给他们? 非常感谢!
