help on 485 petition

My lawyer is preparing my 485 (EB-2 China) petition filing. But my wife is
holding an J-1 visa now and we are trying to get the waiver in about 3-4
months for her. Because my wife is from Taiwan, if my lawyer only files my
485 petition, not for both us, can I still use her category? Thanks a lot bow/.
