Please help on my husbands visa status

Got EAD!!!! My hu*****and missed the chance to file 485 with me this august. He ususally come to US with h4 visa every two months. my question is if I use EAD next year and lose my H1B, what kind of visa he has to apply for? Seems he won't be able to file 485 for while since my PD is JULY 07.
