NO. you do not need to do anything. When you reenter using your AP, your new 1-94 card says your status is AOS and it is valid for a year. But you can just ignore it.

You need to turn in your current I-94 card when you leave the country: but remember, just the right half of it. Keep the left half for your own record. Also, keep a copy of both sides for future reference.
