Very confused about the fingerprinting.

Last time when we checked with Infopass, I was told my 4th fingerprinting (yes 4th!) should be due in August. Now it's already October and I haven't heard of anything. So I called Infopass this morning and was told that the system is showing my 4th fingerprinting was done 09/04/07! But I never received the notice and of course I didn't go to do it. I was only told by the officer that I shouldn't worry about it since the system has my fingerprinting updated.

Anyone here had similar experience? And what does it mean?

Okay, some side notes about our case situation -

March of 2003, LG filed I-140 based on EB1-b
May of 2004, I-140 approved
August of 2004, both of us filed I-485
then, waiting and waiting until...
Feb of 2007, we wrote a letter to First Lady
April of 2007, got the FBI letter stating that LG's name check released on 04/05/07
waiting again ...until
Mid of August, CIS requested additional evidence from LG - copies of birth certificate and ID Card (note - these were filed with I-485. Had no idea why they requested that).
now still waiting....

So far, we both did four fingerprinting except I only physically did three but somehow was "granted" the fourth one. :-)

Very frustrated of waiting! :-(
