一份对我来说极关重要的信.但是一月多了还没收到,心急如焚

网站上有朋友说.补件的信丢了.打电话要四十天才能收到.(说法1)
还有的说一个月..(说法2)
还有的说三个月..(说法3)
客服又告诉我几天后再给我寄一张(说法4)
把我搞得头都大了,I-485申请一年八个月了.从去年十一月PENDING到今年7月第二次手模.一个月后网上浏览得知.On August 10, 2007, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence and/or information in this case. This case will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the information and/or evidence requested, you will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something further from you. 这个月十号的时候我叫人帮我打了个电话给customer service（因为一个月了还没有收到）
并把我的地址什么都跟他们说清楚了。她们回复是再过几天再寄一张。
可是又一周多了，我真的好无助。不知道怎么办才好，好心的朋友们我当如何是好？
律师能追到这封信吗?
如果知道这封信要我补什么就好了.我直接做好交上去就行了.
平时信都是直接寄到我家里的,比如打手模,C9卡补件什么的.都没丢过.
