Canada Temporary Resident Visa - 拜托大侠指教

H1B expired on 10/01. H1B extension not approved but got receipt. I140&485 pending. Applied Canada Temporary Resident Visa, got the following email from Canada Embassy Immigration Section:

"Please provide your I-797 extending your H-1B status beyond October 1. You may fax this item to 202.682.7689. The receipt that you have provided is not sufficient to satisfy this requirement."

What should I do? How can I explain to Canada Embassy?
