1. if my H-1 extension is denied, is there any gap (May 23- July) ?
--没有gap,因为等待的这段时间是合法的,将来容易招来RFE,但要是keep这个receipt就可以过关.

2. can I still change status to H-4 in the states right now ?
--当然可以,但也不是必须的,你可以用EAD工作,如果485有问题再转H4不迟

3. if there is gap, will this gap affect my I-485 ?
--呵呵

4. can I go back to china to apply for H4, to override this gap ?
